On November 27, 2024, GOPIO Malaysia extended financial support of RM 2,000 to Karan Dinesh, the son of Mrs. M. Indira Gandhi, to aid his pursuit of a legal education. The event, organized by the Malaysian Association of Indian University Graduates (MAIUG), also included a generous RM 5,000 donation from MAIUG. These contributions were aimed at alleviating the financial challenges faced by Mrs. Indira Gandhi’s family and ensuring that Karan Dinesh can continue his law studies at Multimedia University (MMU) in Malacca.
