Ms. Naantheniy V. Allenjeswaran, an active member of GOPIO Malaysia Youth and GOPIO Malaysia Young Professionals, recently represented Malaysia in the 72nd Know India Programme (KIP). The programme, held from 13 January to 3 February 2024, offered an immersive experience for young members of the Indian diaspora from across the globe.
Organised by the Government of India, KIP aimed to strengthen cultural connections among participants while showcasing India’s historical and modern achievements. Ms. Naantheniy was one of two Malaysian participants in a cohort of 44 individuals from countries such as Mauritius, Guyana, South Africa, Fiji, and Canada.

One of the most significant highlights of the programme was attending the Republic Day celebrations on 26 January 2024. Ms. Naantheniy joined other participants as an honoured guest at the Kartavya Path parade, witnessing India’s military prowess, cultural displays, and vibrant floats. She described the event as “awe-inspiring” and a moment of immense pride.
