The Malaysia Day Unity Forum was held on 16th September 2024 to commemorate Malaysia Day, celebrating the spirit of togetherness and harmony among the nation’s diverse communities. The event began with a vibrant Chinese lion dance, symbolizing good fortune, followed by the soulful rendition of a Malay song, setting the tone for the forum’s theme of national unity. GOPIO Malaysia President Mr. Gunasekaren Sreerangan delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of fostering strong community bonds to uphold Malaysia’s multi-ethnic identity.

The forum featured an esteemed panel comprising Darshini Seetharaman, Muhammad Alim Bin Munen, Gunamalar Joorindanjn, and Dr. Velan Kunjuraman. The panellists explored critical themes of national unity and integration, discussing ways to strengthen relationships among Malaysia’s diverse communities.
