The Official Launching of the 2nd PIO Day of Malaysia and the 15th GOPIO International Convention

The launch of the PIO Day of Malaysia, the PIO International Festival 2024, and the 15th GOPIO International Convention 2024 took place on August 14, 2024, at the International Youth Centre in Kuala Lumpur. The event, graced by His Excellency Mr. B.N. Reddy, High Commissioner of India to Malaysia, drew over 100 attendees, including delegates from PIO organizations, cultural performers, and media representatives. The evening featured a classical dance performance and detailed presentations on the upcoming PIO Day, PIO International Festival, and GOPIO International Convention.

A significant highlight was the unveiling of the Journal of PIO Studies, marking an academic milestone for the PIO community. The event also provided insights into the 15th GOPIO International Convention, which will include key conferences such as the Socio-Cultural Conference, Youth Conference, Academic Conference, and CEO Forum. These sessions aim to foster dialogue and collaboration among the global PIO community.

The PIO International Festival, scheduled for September 14–16, 2024, promises a vibrant array of activities, including cultural performances, exhibitions, games, and conferences. Media coverage emphasized the event’s role in celebrating PIO heritage, strengthening ties between India, Malaysia, and the global diaspora, and promoting cultural exchange on an international scale.
