GOPIO International Business Networking Summit and Dinner 2020

The GOPIO International Business Networking Summit and Dinner 2020 (GIBNSD) was successfully organised by GOPIO Malaysia Business Council on the 18^th and 19^th of December 2020. The GIBNSD was conducted to boost entrepreneurs and propel businesses amidst the uncertainties, restrictions and limitations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic backdrop. The tagline of the GIBNSD 2020 is Connecting Businesses for Prosperous 2021.

Day 1 of the Conference was conducted virtually to facilitate international participation that is affected by international travel restrictions. The virtual summit was organised on the 18^th of December 2020, involving participation from Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mauritius, Myanmar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. The online programme began at 12.30 pm and ended at 7.00 pm Malaysian time, starting with Welcome Speech and Address by the Organising Chairman of GIBNSD 2020 Dato’ C.M. Vickneswaran and the Chairman of GOPIO Malaysia Business Council, Mr Gunasekaran. The topics in the virtual summit include Logistics and Supply Chain, E-Commerce, Health Care, Medical Tourism, Fintech, E-Learning, Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence presented by subject experts from USA, Singapore, Malaysia, India and Myanmar.

The Day 2 of the Summit was on 19^th of December 2020, where a physical Conference was held at the Berjaya Hall of the Bukit Kiara Equestrian and Country Resort in Kuala Lumpur from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. Topics in this Conference include Financial Intelligence, Business Model Canvass, The Importance of Innovation to Create Sustainable Business, Business Coaching, handling Sales Objections, Business Transcending Generations and Mind-Setting for Business Post Covid-19. About 50 participants attended this Conference.

The conference closing was followed by a Networking Dinner at the Saddle Restaurant in Bukit Kiara Equestrian and Country Club at 8.00 pm. The evening began with Welcome Address by Dato’ CM Vignaesvaran, Organising Chairman, GOPIO International Business Networking Summit and Dinner 2020. Next was the President’s Address by Mr Gunasekaran Sreerangan, President, GOPIO Malaysia cum Chairman of GOPIO Malaysia Business Council. Special Address was delivered by Chief Guest and Advisor to the GOPIO Malaysia Business Council, Mr Rajasingham who is the Co-Founder and Managing Director, BAC Education Group. About 80 people attended the networking dinner, including senior members and friends of GOPIO and members of the GOPIO Malaysia Business Council.

The next summit and dinner are scheduled for September 2021.
