Academic Conference – 15th GOPIO International Convention

As part of the 15th GOPIO International Convention, an Academic Conference was held on 14th September 2024 at the Indian Youth Centre (IYC), bringing together 100 participants and 16 notable speakers. The conference revolved around the theme, “Emerging Dynamics of Global PIO and Its New Generation,” providing a vital platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities faced by the global People of Indian Origin (PIO) community in today’s interconnected world.

Professor Ajay Dubey from Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi was among the key speakers, sharing valuable insights into the evolving role of PIOs in modern society. Topics explored included the complexities of migration, the preservation of cultural heritage, and addressing regional issues within the diaspora. These discussions underscored the importance of understanding intricate identities while fostering unity and strength across the PIO community.

The event also featured research presentations, encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration. By deepening the understanding of diaspora issues, the conference aimed to inspire innovative solutions and strengthen the bonds within the global PIO network, ensuring a vibrant future for its new generation.
