The Siddha Conference, held on 15th September 2024 at Appudurai Hall, united scholars, practitioners, and health enthusiasts to delve into the ancient Siddha system’s holistic health practices. Chaired by Dr. M. Bala Tharmalingam and graced by VR Jamuna from HICOM as the chief guest, the event drew over 100 attendees and featured five distinguished speakers. The conference emphasized the significance of traditional methods like Nadi Pariksha (pulse diagnosis) and Varma therapy, showcasing their relevance in both preventive and therapeutic care.
Interactive sessions, live demonstrations, and discussions enriched the conference experience, offering participants valuable insights into sustainable approaches for long-term well-being. A special Herbs Exhibition added a vibrant dimension, highlighting various herbal remedies and dietary practices that embody the integrative and natural principles of Siddha medicine.
Earlier in the day, a Siddha Clinic was co-organized by the Malaysian Association of Traditional Indian Medicine (PEPTIM) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The clinic provided hands-on exposure to Siddha’s natural healing techniques, reinforcing its effectiveness in promoting holistic health. Together, the conference and clinic empowered attendees to embrace Siddha’s nutritional, herbal, and therapeutic wisdom, fostering a deeper connection to ancient healthcare practices for a healthier modern lifestyle.
