Dr. Patrick Justin Lawrence, a local KL boy, grew up together with 5 siblings in a devoted Catholic family, who always believed that God has a special calling for him. He later found out it was the vocation to e a doctor, an extraordinary one.
He obtained an MBBS degree from Kilpauk Medical College, Madras in 1991, and later completed his masters in Human Behavior from California State University in 1992. After completed his internship, he had training in the Surgical Department at Hospital Kuala Lumpur under the guidance of Dato’ Dr. Suseela Nair and Datuk Dr. Harjit Singh.
In 1997, Dr. Patrick, as he is fondly known, started his practice in Taman Dagang, Ampang where his pasture is, today. Dr. Patrick takes his career as a family doctor STEP FURTHER, not only to treat individuals but also as a doctor responsible for providing health care to the community. The clinic is not merely a GP clinic, but also a shelter to the needy, the migrants, and those underprivileged.
Dr. Patrick has always put his parents before himself. “If it is not for them, I will not be where I am today, “And he is always grateful for his wife and children and family members for their patience, tolerance, and support. He is forever thankful to Dr. Devi Shetty, Dato’ Dr. Harjit Singh, and Mr. Selvarajoo Sundram for they have been mentors to him, which has to lead him to live the calling to be an extraordinary doctor.
