Dr.S.S.Tamilselvan - Marketing( GOPIO International Excellence Award 2010 )

Dr.S.S.Tamilselvan, 48, is a man with vast knowledge of modern medicine plus alternative treatment and business. He started his working career in 1992, after completing degree in pharmacy from University Sains Malaysia (USM).

Between 1992 and 1997, Dr Tamil held senior managerial positions in two renowned international pharmaceutical companies. His first job was in Diethelm(1992) where he held the position of Area Sales Manager prior to joining Zuellig Pharmaceuticals (1994) where he served in the capacity of Branch Manager.

The experience gained during two corporate tenures served as valuable spurs when he ventured out on his own in 1997 to start his own group of pharmacies (Medilink). This year also proved to be a pivotal year for him in term of academic as he obtained his MBA from University of Herriot - Watt, UK. Never to be one to be a to rest on his laurels, Dr Selvan went on to pursue a PhD in Alternative Medicine which he successfully gained in 2003.

Dr Selvan was running a chain of pharmacies before venturing into “4life” opportunity 5 years ago.
