GOPIO International Youth Conference (GIYC) was successfully held for three days and two nights, from 14th to 16th December 2018 at the Port Dickson Golf and Country Club, Malaysia. GOPIO’s objective is to promote the interests and aspirations of Youths of Indian Origins (PIOs) from around the world.
The focus of GOPIO International Youth Conference (GIYC) is to establish networking among young PIOs from various countries and to continue the objectives of GOPIO, mainly in the areas of Education, Business, Technology and Socio-Culture.
The Youth Delegates were mostly pre-university students, undergraduate and fresh graduates between the ages of 17 and 27 from Singapore, India and Malaysia. The Conference was filled with talks on Technology and Young Entrepreneurship. Cultural and Outdoor Activities were also featured in the three days event.
Mr. Nishit Kumar Ujjwal, Counsellor (Community Affairs and Labour) from the High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur was the Chief Guest for the Conference at the Closing Ceremony on the last day. The programme was also attended by Senior members of GOPIO from Singapore and Malaysia.
