studies to identity the agenda and road map for the Emerging PIO Diaspora, for the next 5
years and 10 years.

This forum will be held on April 2, 2011 in the Faculty of Arts and Social Science, University Malaya from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.

Objective

  • To identify the principle areas to focus for the social and economic growth of the global PIO Community
  • PIO’s network with India and globally
  • Comparatives views from other Diasporas
  • To identify socio and economic potentials for enhancing the well being of the community and the nation.

Areas of Discussion

Economy, ICT, Education, R&D, Culture, Language, Literature and Values.

The Forum II is organised for scholars, PIO sister Organisation leaders, graduate youth and other parties with interest or know-how on Diasporas. We believe, a series of these Forums, held in dirent countries, will produce at the end a meaningful road map, a valid agenda, with the consensus of the PIO Diaspora. Forum I was held in New Delhi in January 2011.

This forum is jointly organized by GOPIO in collaboration with the Organisation for Diaspora Initiative (ODI) and the Indian Studies Department, University Malaya.
