FIEO MoU with Malaysia-India chamber

NEW DELHI, 5 MARCH: The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (Fieo) will sign a memorandum of understanding with Malaysia-India Chamber of Commerce tomorrow. Mr A Kohilan Pillay, minister of foreign affairs, Malaysia, will be present on the occasion, an Fieo release here said.
This comes in the wake of India signing the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement with Malaysia to scale up the trade relationship and strengthen economic partnership between the two countries.
Fieo said there is huge potential to enhance trade with Malaysia as it accounts for just 1.72 per cent of India’s trade, with 1.59 per cent share of India’s exports and 1.80 per cent of India’ imports.
